How do I dress my family?

Here’s the scene: You’ve just had your third baby - you did your research, booked the best newborn photographer in CT (Kristen Schueler Photography, of course!), and a family photo is high on your list of things to accomplish during the session. But you’re so exhausted that there isn’t even a word in the English language that sums up how you feel, everything is leaking and/or bleeding, your oldest hates photos, and your middle child has been wearing her Elsa dress daily for longer than you can remember.

How on earth am I going to choose outfits for everyone, let alone get them to ACTUALLY wear them?! The quick answer: you don’t.

That’s where I step in. Before the session, you will fill out a questionnaire about what you are looking for in your session. Colors, styling, props, and yes, even wardrobe. I have an extensive wardrobe for little ones, as well as some gorgeous basics for mom and dad. I will pull out what I have in your sizes and colors, and we will decide either before the session or the day of what everyone is wearing. And if I don’t have something in someone’s size? I will order it for your session.

Through the years I have made a point to collect classic, timeless pieces of clothing that won’t date your images and will keep the focus on your family.

If, however, you want to wear your own clothing, that’s ok too! I will help you style your family by guiding you in color story, texture, comfort, etc.
