What to expect

STEP 1

Inquiry + Consultation

After you fill out my contact form, we’ll schedule a time to chat to find out exactly what kind of session you would like.  I tailor our session to your family, so we’ll get to know each other and make sure we’re a good fit.  Once we have decided to work together, I’ll send over a contract and invoice for your retainer to secure your spot on my calendar, along with a questionnaire to customize your session.  I’ll help you style your shoot with high-end outfit options from my ever-growing client closet, along with a plethora of hand picked props.  It’s not unusual for me to go antiquing to find that one-of-a-kind perfect prop just for you.

STEP 2

Your Photo Session

Your session takes place at my in-home studio in Killingworth, where you’ll have the option of studio, outdoor, or a mix of both (depending on your session). Stress-free is my mantra. I’ll guide you through the entire experience, while giving you space to play and explore together. You can trust that I’m always there to create beautiful images and make your session a care-free, wonderful time spent together.

STEP 3

The reveal

Offering heirloom-quality prints and products is a huge part of what I do. Roughly two weeks after your session, you’ll receive a link to watch a slideshow of all your images. I encourage you to gather the whole family, cast it to a television, and enjoy the reveal. Once you have had a chance to view the slideshow, you will chose from three collections, which all include different amounts of digital files and a print credit. After you have decided on a collection, you will have 30 days to both select your digital files and use your print credit in your gallery. Don’t worry, you will receive detailed instructions on how to do all of this!

To create a truly customized experience, I offer artwork that is hand-picked, instead of pre-packaged. That way, you can be confident you’re getting exactly what you want for your family and your space.

ARTWORK

My hope for your session is that you walk away with some beautiful custom artwork of your family. I want to give you a product, not a project, so all of my collections include a print credit and digital files. The average client investment is around $1800. My studio is set up to anticipate your needs before you even have to ask. Here’s what to expect…


—A warm and a cozy environment

—Snacks, drinks and plenty of space to change

—All the baby gear you need (diapers, wipes, bottle warmers, and more)

—Access to my hand-selected client wardrobe (babies, boys, girls and moms, plus some simply coordinating shirts for dads)

—Two acres of private land that I’ve cultivated to create secret gardens and wide-open vistas

I never schedule more than one session per day, so you can be confident I will pour my time and talent into documenting your family and taking care of your entire experience (and we won’t be rushed).

I love brainstorming ideas for your photo session. Share your ideas and let’s make it happen! Fresh flowers, forest tea parties or firefly lanterns… I’m all about adding a dash of whimsy to your session. (And I never say no to a reason to scour antique markets for interesting vintage props.)
